Example of populating drop-down based on contents of previous drop-down

This demo script will show you how to populate a drop-down based on the contents of the previous drop-down.  In this example it will take the contents of the field that was selected and place it in the second drop-down.

Snippet:

This demo script will show you how to populate a drop-down based on the contents of the previous drop-down.  In this example it will take the contents of the field that was selected and place it in the second drop-down.

You are given a dialog where you select the file and the field you are interested in.

Once you select a field, in this case PROD_CODE the script will summarize and read the contents of that field into an array and then attach it to the second drop-down.

I hope to do a video explaining this script in the near future.

Hi Brian,
Hope your recovering well,  I have a job which I could probably use this script for however, the iss file attached has no spacing / line breaks within it.  I was trying to work through the script myself but i'm not very good at this code.
Could you have a look at the file and re-upload if possible?  Unless i just copy it straight into a new script file?
Thanks - Oliver

Hi Brain,  Actually on second thoughts im re-reading this description and it isn't the functionality im looking for.  I mis-read it the first time through which is maybe why i was struggling to work through the script.  Regards - Oliver
