Exporting summarized data from IDEA into excel

Hi ThereI am looking for some assistance in writing a IDEAscript that will allow me to extract summarized data from IDEA into excel and with this extraction I would like to keep the hyperlinks in excel, so that if I click a specific piece of data I would be able to see all that data in excel.Thank you in advance.RegardsAveen

Hi Aveen,

I will ask one of the trainers that has knowledge of using macros with excel to look at your post and maybe have some suggestions.

So when you click on the link in excel are you getting the information from IDEA and posting it to excel?

Hi Brian
Thank you very much for your response. So when I click in IDEA I can export to excel but only the summarized data without any hyperlinks. I am trying to export the summarized data out of IDEA into excel. Instead of clicking each summarized record in IDEA and then exporting - I would like to export all the data to excel with the hyperlinks, so when I click in excel I can actually see all the data for a specific summarized record.

Hi Aveen,

Thanks for the further clarification.  I have asked a friend who knows more about creating macros in excel than I do to see if he has any suggestions.  Hopefully he will have the time to comment.  So far I am more just geared towards scripting with IDEA.
